What this app is — and is not

Soul of Change is a private journaling practice for noticing your own patterns. This app helps you notice patterns. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace therapy. Bring strong, confusing, traumatic, or recurring patterns to a qualified professional. If there is danger, abuse, violence, self-harm, or crisis, seek immediate support from local emergency services or a crisis line.

Your account

You need an account to use the app, and you are responsible for keeping access to it safe. It is for your own personal use. You can close it at any time from Settings — your data is then removed from our live systems. Recently deleted content can remain inside expiring recovery snapshots for up to seven days, as explained in the privacy policy.

Your content

Everything you write remains yours. We claim no rights over it beyond what is needed to store it and show it back to you, as described in the privacy policy.

Fair use

Don't attempt to break into the service, access anyone else's data, or use the app to harm others. We may suspend accounts that do.

The service

We work to keep the app available and your data safe, including automatic daily provider snapshots retained for seven days. The service is nevertheless provided as-is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Download a copy of your data any time from Settings.

Changes and law

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell current users directly or prominently in the app. These terms are governed by Dutch law. Questions: hello@davidhoogland.com.
